Plans

Proverbs 16:1
The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

Proverbs 16:9
The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his step.

We all make plans. We all know what we want to do and where we want to be by a certain age. The thing I have found is that my plan does not always line up with God's plan and I desperately want to be in God's plan but it's really hard to let go of my plan! This is a picture that shows my main focus the last nine years of my life. To be honest with you when I took my first teaching job at Douglass Valley I did not expect to spend nine years there and for many years I was discontent. Staying there was not my plan for my life and I wanted to do something more. However by the last few years God had given me a love for it and had shown me that this was His plan for me.

Just when I finally got comfortable with that being God's plan for me, He brought me to a place where I could pursue what I had always thought was His original plan for me. Let me tell you its been hard and yet God has provided every step of the way, and that's how I know this is what He wants for me right now. So tomorrow, August 15th, is a big day for me. Not only is it my 33rd birthday, but its also the day that I start teaching somewhere other than Douglass Valley, the students will be secondary, the main class will be health (pray for me!!!) and the location will be half way around the world. This is what God has planned for me now and I need to learn to trust Him, rest in His plan and focus on the work He has for me here. This year will be different but good, I have already run into so many frustrations and quite honestly have not been content. So as this post comes to an end I ask that you pray for me, pray that I will follow God's plan with joy and love for all who come across my path. Pray for my students (especially those taking health!)

Thank you all for the prayers and support so far in this adventure!

In Christ,

Amy George
